This was actually a few weeks ago and it’s covered in mud again, but I wanted to make one last post here on the old platform. Svend made the car wash post into an art form and even though this quick clean is nowhere near his quality, it seems like a fitting way to go out. The paint has plenty of scratches and scars from the trails from but she still cleans up nice. I bought a 2000 psi electric pressure washer on Prime Day that did most of the hard work. Used Chemical Guys Extreme Wash Wax and got a pretty good shine. Also it smells great. I’m trying to think of something else poignant to say... but I’m coming up short. This is a special place and even though the Kinja platform has plenty of flaws everyone here has used it to build a truly special corner of the Internet. I’m hoping - and optimistic based on what I’ve seen so far - that we can keep it going. See you on The Hyphen!

Oh yeah - one last thing to add - I changed a tail lamp bulb right after I dried off the truck.

Supercab Raptors are so much nicer than the crew cabs. I hope Ford doesn’t kill that co nfiguration for the third gen truck.

Also apparently I have the power to Embiggen this in the main Oppo feed. I always thought that only mods could do that and if I clicked it nothing would happen. But I guess I’ve had the power this whole time and never used it. Probably a good thing. Anyway since it is the last day of Kinja Oppo and this is my last post ( unless I decide to shipost later to see if the site has gone into read-only) sorry but y’all gotta deal with it! :P

I also hope they keep it around. I’ve already crested some hills in this that the longer wheelbase would have scraped on... but I get the pressure. These things are so expensive new that a lot of buyers have to DD them and that makes the Super Crew make more sense. Also it gets a bigger fuel tank that can actually go more than 300 miles between fill ups. But like the 2-door Wrangler hopefully it will hang around even if it is only 10% of sales.

Thanks! Yeah I just edited the post (still working for now!) to mention that I changed a bulb right after washing/drying. I just popped the lamp housing off, pulled the bulb to run to O’Reilly with and took another photo from my Forester as I was driving off.

We ll obviously if you go off road you’ll notice where the short wheelbase is better. Why you gotta actually use it off road?

That’s a really nice truck. I really want to clean up the Lancer someday—just give it a full overkill detail like it hasn’t had in years—but it’s one of those pricey things at the bottom of the list. :(
